Why PetalSoft?

For years, rigid plastic flanges were the only option—and they fell short. While newer designs introduced softer rims or fully silicone builds, each came with tradeoffs like discomfort, bulk, or poor suction. We set out to create a flange that truly delivers the best of both worlds.

How do I choose the right flange size?

We recommend choosing a flange size that is 1-4mm larger than your nipple size. Not sure what your nipple size is? Check out our Flange Sizing Guide!

Will PetalSoft work with my breast pump?

Check out our PetalSoft Pump Compatibility infographic to find out! While some breast pumps are compatible with interchangeable flanges as-is, others may require a specific connector to allow for interchangeable flanges.

What materials is the PetalSoft Flange made of?

The PetalSoft flange features a clear Polypropylene outer structure with a flexible, floral Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) overmold.

When will PetalSoft be available to order?

Is the PetalSoft Flange safe for everyday use?

- Momease strives to source safe materials that give you extra peace of mind when using your flanges every day. Polypropylene is one of the most common plastic materials used for breast pump flanges, and we have taken extra care to choose a specific grade of polypropylene that is suitable for food contact applications. Moreover, the flexible TPE material was chosen because its recommended uses include medical/nursing supplies, and it also boasts high purity and food-grade ingredients. Both materials are formulated without BPA, PVC, latex, and phthalates to ensure safety. Finally, all dyes are formulated for use in contact with food.  
- Per CDC guidelines, we recommend sterilizing your flanges by boiling or using a steam sterilizer (please avoid UV sterilization) prior to first use, then washing prior to each use and sterilizing once daily.
